Nauti Nine Golf Club Bylaws and Policies
Article I - Golf Club Name
The name of this organization shall be Nauti Nine Golf Club (hereinafter referred to as the "Club").
Article II – Purpose
The purpose of the Club is to:

Promote the game of golf through fellowship, sportsmanship, and friendly competition.

Conduct tournaments and golf-related activities for members and guests.

Maintain a fair and equitable handicap system.

Foster camaraderie among members while upholding the integrity of the game.

Encourage participation in club events and community activities.
Article III – Membership
Section 1: Eligibility
Membership shall be open to any individual who supports the mission and objectives of the Club.
Section 2: Membership Requirements
Members must:

Pay annual Club dues ($54)
-
Maintain an active GHIN Handicap ($41) f participating in Club competitions).
Section 3: Guests
-
Guests may participate in Club events as approved by the Tournament Committee.

Guests are not eligible for Club Championships or season-long awards.
-
Members whose dues or GHIN are not current may participate only as guests until their membership requirements are fulfilled.
Article IV – Officers
Section 1: Officers
The Club shall consist of the following officers:

Section 2: Duties
President

Oversee all club operations and tournament activities.

Appoint committees and volunteers as needed.

Work closely with the Tournament Director and Treasurer.

Ensure GHIN and membership requirements are enforced.

Promote camaraderie, integrity, and fair competition.
-
Lead annual planning for tournaments, championships, and special events.

Present awards and recognize member achievements.
-
Foster growth and long-term stability of the club.
-
Organize tournaments.
-
Prepare tee sheets.
-
Verify scoring and payouts
Treasurer
-
Collect and record all membership dues and GHIN fees.
-
Maintain an updated membership payment roster.
-
Track all tournament entry fees and side-game payments.
-
Prepare prize payout reports for each tournament.
-
Provide monthly financial updates to Club officers.
-
Maintain accurate records of all Club income and expenses.
-
Coordinate with the Tournament Director regarding tournament finances.
-
Present an annual financial report to the membership.
-
Ensure all Club funds are deposited and safeguarded promptly.
-
Maintain transparency and accountability in all financial matters.
Article V – Meetings

The Club shall hold meetings as needed (After Club Tournaments)

Decisions shall be made by majority vote of those present.
Article VI – Handicap Policy

The Club shall use the GHIN Handicap System.
-
Members are responsible for posting all acceptable scores.
-
Failure to maintain an accurate handicap may result in disciplinary action.
-
The Tournament Committee may review and adjust handicaps when necessary to protect fairness.
Article VII – Tournament Policies
Eligibility

Only active members in good standing are eligible for Club Championships and season awards.

Members must have a current GHIN number.
Registration
-
Entry fees must be paid before the tournament deadline.

Players who withdraw after pairings are posted may forfeit entry fees unless approved by Club officers.
Pace of Play

Players are expected to maintain proper pace.
Rules
-
The Club shall follow the current Rules of Golf established by the United States Golf Association.
Conduct
Members shall:

Display good sportsmanship.
-
Respect fellow golfers and golf course staff.
-
Refrain from abusive language or disruptive behavior.
Article VIII – Financial Policies

All Club funds shall be maintained in a designated Club account.

The Treasurer shall maintain accurate records of all income and expenses.

Financial reports shall be available to members upon request.
-
Expenditures over an amount established by the officers shall require approval.
-
Annual dues shall be determined by Club officers.
Article IX – Prize Distribution

Tournament prizes shall be distributed according to the published payout schedule.

Unclaimed prizes may be held as Club credit for future events.
Article X – Discipline
Members may be subject to disciplinary action for:

Failure to follow Club rules.

Unsportsmanlike conduct.

Handicap manipulation.
-
Actions that damage the reputation of the Club.
Disciplinary actions may include:

Warning.
-
Suspension.
-
Removal from Club membership.
Article XI – Amendments
These bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds vote of members present at a meeting where the proposed amendment has been announced in advance.

Every member agrees to:
